G-Dane Tech Ltd. is a global leader in software and IT solutions, catering to businesses, corporates, Governmental and non-Governmental organizations. Recently launched and headquartered in East Africa’s innovation hub of Nairobi, Kenya, G-Dane Tech Ltd has researched and developed a Farm Management System with the aim of converting subsistence farmers to agripreneurs.

The Farm Management System is developed mainly on these platforms: mobile application, web-based application and desktop application.

In consultation with the government, G-Dane Tech Ltd is seeking to employ Kenyan Citizens to pilot the implementation of the Farm Management System in various counties. The first phase, which is expected to run for two years, will impact 17 counties.

The project which is scheduled to launch in September 2016 will largely work with farmers in over 22,000 organized groups and saccos in the country. To these groups, G-Dane Tech Ltd will provide system support and agricultural services such as soil testing, farm advice, farm inputs, software use and hardware maintenance.

Acting as the point of liaison in respective counties, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

Training farmers
Providing advice and support
Soil testing.
Required qualifications & skills:

Bachelor of Education | Bachelor of Science in Agriculture | Bachelor of Information Technology | Bachelor of Business Information Technology | Diploma in Science and Agriculture | Diploma in Information Technology | Diploma in Business Information Technology.
Educational qualification in agriculture with IT knowledge is an added advantage.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Fluent in local vernacular language – of respective county
Fluent in vernacular language of respective County, knowledge of the geographical coverage of the respective area and willing to reside there for the duration of the project
No formal experience required, therefore recent graduates are encouraged to apply
Age limit for applicants is 23 – 30 years.
Officers will be equipped with smart-phones to facilitate their work.
Note:

This is a contract position with a minimum fixed salary and performance based incentives upon achieving established targets.
